Overview
- This page explains how users of SPINTag can request deletion of their account and associated cloud data held by IIT Tirupati Navavishkar I-Hub Foundation (IITTNiF).
- Uninstalling the App does not delete your account.
How to request account deletion
- Web: use the email button on this page, or email software@iittnif.com directly.
- In-app: where available, Settings → Delete Account.
- Use the subject line: Delete SPINTag account.
- Include your full name as shown in the app, your registered email address, and your organization code (if any).
- We may request reasonable information to verify your identity before processing the request.
- Verified deletion requests will generally be processed within approximately 30 days.
What we delete
- After verification, account-related cloud information will generally be deleted or anonymised, including:
- Account profile information, such as name, email address, phone number, and role
- Login information, including password and password-reset information
- Cloud Audit Data, including hashes, signatures, device and App identifiers, and related audit linkage information
- Device public keys associated with the account
- Support records linked to the account, where stored
What we do not delete (or cannot delete remotely)
- Photograph and video files stored on your device or device gallery — delete those on the device yourself. SPINTag does not store image or video files on its cloud servers as part of ordinary capture synchronization.
- Location Data, DigiPIN, address information and capture timestamps remain on the device and are not held as Cloud Audit Data.
- Data you already shared with third parties via the system share sheet — contact those services separately.
- Cloud Audit Data or other information SPINTag is entitled or required to retain under the Privacy Policy or applicable law (for example security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal compliance).
Retention
- Backup copies may remain for up to approximately 90 days as part of ordinary backup and disaster-recovery processes before being removed in accordance with applicable backup procedures, subject to any legal preservation requirement.
